It all started with a struggling little Philodendron White Wizard at Kroger. Brandon couldn’t leave it behind — its white variegation was unlike anything he’d seen before. We brought it home, hoping we could save it. That one plant unknowingly set everything in motion.​

​

Wanting to give it the best chance, we searched for help nearby and discovered FoxGlove Plant Bar, just a short walk from our small Athens apartment. That same evening, we walked over—and everything changed. That visit sparked our obsession. We were inspired, in awe, and instantly hooked.​

​

In September 2023, we (Britney and Brandon — husband and wife) officially fell into the plant hobby together. And when we fall for something… we fall hard. Britney had always loved making videos, so she started documenting our plant journey on TikTok — going live most nights while we did plant chores, shared updates, and connected with other plant lovers.​

Over time, people began tuning in regularly. They watched our plants thrive, asked what we were using, and begged us to sell our moss poles (which they hated making themselves) and the custom mixes Brandon had created. We didn’t start with the intention to sell — we were just two people having fun and still working full-time jobs — but we finally gave in and listed a few things.

We had no idea it would grow into this.​

We officially launched Britney’s Urban Oasis in 2024 from our apartment in Athens, GA. By May 2025, we moved back to our hometown of Winder, GA and began running the business full-time. What followed was nearly two years of long nights, fulfilling orders, testing new products, going live, and building something we never dreamed possible.

Today, we offer:

• Premium soilless potting mixes, like our bestselling PhytoThrive Aroid Mix

• Handmade D-Shape Moss Poles and Steel Mesh Poles

• In-house plant care products like Leaf Luxe, RootRush, and PhytoFoliar

• A growing collection of rare aroids, especially our specialty: Philodendron Verrucosum (60+ types and counting)​

But this isn’t just a store — it’s a community. The people who joined our lives through TikTok have become our plant family. They’ve supported us through every step of this journey, and we’re still here because of them. From Discord chats to live streams, the connections we’ve made are what matter most.​

This journey has been the biggest blessing. We’re honored to now do what we love full time, and we’re committed to creating high-quality, research-backed products that actually work — because we use them ourselves.​
